A wonderful biography of Land is "Land's Polaroid: A company and the man
who invented it," by Peter C. Wensberg [Houghton Mifflin, Boston 1987].
There's a discussion of Land's work in 3D, as well as a detailed history
of the SX-70 system.

I had the thrilling experience of hearing Land lecture at Harvard in the
mid-1960s.
