Respectfully disagree. I find the lens on this camera to be CONTRASY, but in
my experience it is not sharp, particularly away from the center. This is a
four element (in four groups) 35 mm f/2.8 lens. The limit for a simple 35 mm
lens, even with high index glass, is f/3.5 and you will get some
illumination falloff at that (such as the Tessar on the T4). If someone
could make a well-corrected 35 f/2.8 with only four elements, then the Nikon
and Contax compacts would be all over it instead of the more complex and
expensive Sonnars and Nikkors they use. I also find the character of the
Zuiko lens to be really weird and uncomfortable, but that's just individual
preference...

The auto exposure program on the Stylus Epics I believe also favours higher
shutter speeds over smaller apertures like the T4 and so is probably not a
great choice for twinning for stereo...

I would urge you guys to shoot some chromes and view them under
magnification as we do with our stereo viewers...
