I have been playing around with a way to line up two separate cameras using
two tripods. Here is what I did which is working out pretty well. I went to
Northern Tool and picked up a small all aluminum level about 4-5" long and
1/2" square. They also had a boat load of cheap laser pointers so I bought
one of those too. I then glued a laser pointer on it. now I set the level on
the top of the 1st tripod and level it. Then I set my second tripod up and
place a block on top of it. Turn on the laser and the red dot should be the
same distance above the tripod platform as the laser is above the surface of
the first platform. Cost me under $12 and I am now only blind in one eye.
:>) Actually be careful with the laser, it is like a sharp stick in the eye.
That's all, gotta go,
