My Father used to be a bit concerned about my parrallel free viewing
because he has a natural convergent squint in one eye only, as a
consequence he can free view but years ago he was told not to diverge his
eyes by an Opthalmologist.
He was quite alarmed by the amount my father could diverge his eyes and
told him not to to do it again. To compensate my Father was taught to cross
his eyes which some people think is more harmfull. As a consequence he is
also able to cross view as I can so if I do a lot of parrallel free viewing
I try to compensate with equal amounts of cross viewing. Some publications
contain both because some people find one more easy than the other, and its
probably I good idea to encourage people to learn and use both methods
rather than just one.
