P3D Provia100F
George,
When I said "Not quite Kodachrome charm" it was a way of saying
the color of Provia 100F doesn't quite match the warmer tone of KM-64. I
suppose I should be more descriptive. As for a magenta cast of Kodachrome
I don't ever recall seeing this in over 25+ years of using that film. But
Provia 100F does have a cooler color temp and on blues it tends to go
slightly magenta at times depending on the lighting. Its more evident when
I shot flash with the Realist.
I was comparing some KM-64 to Provia 100F Saturday night and the
KM I think has better color accuracy. The only advantage I see in Provia
100F is the finer grain and ease of processing. Which brings up another
sore spot. My local lab has a tendency of leaving brown spots on my E6
stuff that I take there. So far I can't find a Kodak quality lab in
my area. Just doesn't exist.
