P3D Provia F, Mounts & Kodachrome

I just ordered 12 rolls of Provia 100F for an editorial shoot I'll be
doing over the next few weeks in Hyannisport and Martha's Vineyard for
an upscale glossy lifestyle magazine conglomerate. I'll also be shooting
some through my Realists so I'll add my opinion of this film to the list
once I see the results. Rather than shoot with a digital camera I still
elect to shoot chrome and then scan the images into Photoshop for
tweaking into publication readiness.

I just bought a lot of vintage Realist format stereo slides on eBay that
were taken in Europe but the quality was poor on most so I ended up
scrapping the chips and saving the mounts. They are "KWIK MOUNTS" made
in Chicago and I love their quality. Does anybody know if they are still
available? They are a lot better than those sold by Reel3D. However, I
think Reel 3D's heat seal mounts perform well and are a bargain.

A while back I bought some outdated Kodachrome 64 on eBay and shot it
all up through my Realists doing two days of documenting a civil war
re-enactment battles a few weeks back. Am happy to report EXCELLENT
results with this film even though the film expired in 1987...I doubt
any E-6 film could lay claim to that kind of performance after so
long... what a testament to the power of Kodachrome...if only the K-14
processing wasn't such a pain...
