Hi, Fred! my very 1st stereocamera was a Sputnik. I always use it when I
plan to make anaglyphs: the great square format allows me to crop my photos
in vertical or horizontal views, & I don't need a photographic scanner to
process them. The 600x600dpi (optical) resolution of a flatbed scanner with
backlight is OK. I just get negative rolls developed & I do the rest by my
scanner, and this helps me to save money.
I have been lucky enough to meet a Spunik without light leaks, but if you
have problems, in RMM website there's a page about improving Spuniks.
