Pardon me if this question has been answered a long time ago. There is a popular
hobbyist's book on Victor Talking Machines called, "Look for the Dog" by Robert
W. Baumbach. In the chapter "Victor Accessories" there is described and illustrated
a 'magic lantern' slide projector circa 1910 called "the adaptor illustrator"

The slide holder is a round with 16 windows, sort of looks like an oversized
Viewmaster reel. A lamp and lens is attached to it and there is also a separate
projection screen.

This "reel"/lamp/lens mounts to and hangs from the back of the gramophone's
horn through which the image is projected.

My question is how did the salesman explain to the customers in the Victor showroom
exactly what was gained by having the image travel to the screen through the
large accoustical horn :))?

Thanks,

Bill King
