Right, so that is just plain bad viewer design, and the only conceivable
explanation for it is a misguided attempt to make a viewer for children,
correct?  VM was originally designed for grownups, with a grownup infinity
separation and depicting grown-up subjects, and all the subsequent effort
to turn it into a toy for tots has been stereoscopic folly and represents
the loss of a great invention to degenerate marketing and a blase public. 
Is *that* the moral of the story, or is there a strong case to be made for
VM's future - plant closures notwithstanding?  I'm curious what the
serious collectors have to say on this.
