P3D best beamsplitter?

While I would say that the best "add-on" beamsplitter is the
Pentax, I have gradually become aware of the Contax beamsplitter.
I understand that is mostly sought after as a collector's item,
and prices are outrageous. But Sergio Baldissara here on our
own list managed to get one reasonably and uses it regularly.
It is unusual in that it apparently contains a lens element and
is installed in place of the usual front element of the lens,
hence is more perfect optically than other beamsplitters. Sergio
just told me of some excellent results he got with it. Has anyone
else had experience using this particular item?
