P3D Quick and easy 3-D

I use a Revere 33 and Pentax/slide bar for my "serious" 3-D work, but I
have been toying with the idea of experimenting with two inexpensive
point and shoot 35mm cameras just for fun.  I recently saw a Vivitar
camera with a fixed focus 27mm lens for about $15.  I know people have
used twinned Olympus XA's, but I was thinking more in terms of something
that was almost in the "disposable" range.  Has anyone found inexpensive
cameras that can be used for this purpose, especially ones in which the
shutters could easily be wired together?
