I picked up a couple of Jaguar98 on ebay for about $12. Lens is 3 element
plastic uncoated 30mm with a motor advance and a tripod sockit..A real
humdinger! The brand does not seem to matter though. The ones with the
flash, lens guard that opens right below the lens about 4 1/2 x 2 1/2 x 1
1/2". Vivitar has a model that is semi transparent that I have seen at
Target. It seems they are all made in China and then the manufactures put
thier name and shell around it . Anyway....... The two I have have an
electronic shutter where when you push the button down the slide switch
connects two metal contacts on the curcuit board. 4 little screws and your
in. The electronics and mechanics are one unit with a shell arount them. I
would recommend the Vivitar, (my next project) just because they are cool
looking like a imac and you can see all the electronics to see if you want
to do it. That's about all I know, hope it helps.
