Let me guess... You are wearing glasses... Am I right? It is
possible that the edges are blocked to some extend when you are
using the viewer. This happens when wearing glasses and using
common 1950s viewers. But it can also happen if you have
unusually wide or narrow eye spacing.
The stereo window is an exclusive "edge effect". If you cannot
observe the edges (boundaries) of the image clearly then you
cannot see the stereo window.
