In continental Europe Loreo cameras retail at about $50, & I don't think
they are worth more: discovery 3d camera is just an improved Loreo (the
"nose" septum has hooks instead of suction cups).

I recently got a FRANKA splitter from Steve Berezin. It's not the top, but I
still believe at $45 it's good value for money. It should work also on
camcorders, provided the focal lenght you use is the equivalent of 40-50mm
(45° angle of vision) on  35mm, but I don't know how to transform the
results in a 3d show.
