P3D Chicago Light House Stereo Exhibition

The time is drawing near for the closing date, 8 March, of the Chicago
Light House Stereo Exhibition which accepts both cards and slides. Entry
forms/information can be obtained by Email from dsmith145@xxxxxxx
If you have been considering entering a Stereo Exhibition, this one
deserves all the support we can give it. I am not sure that everyone is
aware that this is one of the few, if not the only, stereo exhibitions
which support a charity organization. At the exhibitions of the accepted
entries donations are requested from attendees. Additionally entrants are
encouraged to send a few extra dollars with their entry fees . All the
money that is raised goes to help those who are blind or visually
impaired. In other words, those of us who are able to enjoy the visual
treat that stereography gives us can almost painlessly assist those who
have visual problems.
I enter both cards and slides, although the slides are more of a laugh
break for the judges than serious contenders and include a little extra
along with the entry fees to assist in the charity part of the
Exhibition.
This is also one of five Exhibitions where I sponsor an Award, in an
attempt to perhaps increase interest and participation. The award is the
Muscogee 3-D Award for The Best People in Action Stereo Card.
Support of this Exhibition is a good way to "give something back to
Stereography", I believe. Although I am sure that there will be some
dissent on this thought.
