I used to have an eMail program with an "un-send" option. With
everyone's permission, I would like to retroactively avail myself of
its use at this time.

May I add, at this late date, that I too was impressed and entertained
with this issue.

Frankly, before this posting, it never occurred to me to look at a
magazine from a greater distance than the length of my arms. I've
tried it, and it improved my enjoyment of the viewing experience, considerably.

As for whether anaglyph looses detail, (and thus depth cues), due to
color manipulation, or if my perception of "cardboarding" is produced
by perspective distortions or other artifacts, I would appreciate
further discussion on these matters.

My apologies to Messrs. Labbe and Zone for maligning a medium about
which I apparently know less than I thought. (I hope that you will
still be willing to talk to me when we meet at NSA in Mesa.)

And, my thanks to Boris and his talking dog, for putting things back
in perspective!

I belong to this mailing list to learn from my colleagues, and not
just to state my opinions, (informed or otherwise). If my postings
about the SI media events seemed curmudgeonly or overly academic,
please pardon me. As Dan noted, it IS very well done!

It is my highest hope to see our admittedly artificial representations
of the 3D world improve in their ability to imitate reality, or
intentionally distort it for entertaining results.

For now, I will return to the silent lurking mode.

Humbly,

Ray Hannisian
