Also, this didn't go through first time?

>>But I am curious, what did Ron say were the focal lengths
involved on the cameras? Long lenses *would* exaggerate the problem. I
suspect that may be more the issue in the shot with Estella on horseback,
which is very cardboardy, no matter how you look at it. Wider angle
lenses and closer shooting position are my notion as to what would have
fixed these things.<<

Various focal lengths and set-ups were used in almost every shot.

In the Estella on horseback example, we may have had a shot that worked
"better" in 3D, but it would not have featured the great MOMENT of the horse
on it's rear legs... don't forget, photography, even stereo photography, is
about capturing a moment! Many angles and configurations are tried in each
shot, but the final image chosen is one that satisfies the most people (in
this case, the art director and editor who nixed some of the most absolutely
amazing 3D images because the model's hair didn't look quite right)...

pay good green for the pleasure - as the editors know so well.<<

Maybe you expect bumps, but I believe the readers expect strong 3D effects,
which they got--
haven't heard one complaint of cardboarding (except here!!)
