P3D Hotel rates in Mesa

After checking with the Sheraton I found out
what rates Paul was referring to with his
recent posting.  The hotel chain has to have
an AAA and an AARP room available at a special
rate in order to maintain their status with
these organizations.  This is corporate wide 
hotel policy.

Our NSA rate of $68.00 is the best rate in the
hotel except for these two rooms.  Rack rate
is up to $99.00 without special discount or
coupon for the same time period.  

You need to give the NSA name to be ASSURED of
getting the $68.00 NSA rate.  This rate applies
for the dates of the convention 7/5/00-7/10/00.
Convention rates are also good 3 days before or
after the actual convention dates.  (We negotiated
this benefit for our members.)

The hotel has 220 rooms for us on Friday &
Saturday nights.  We had more rooms at both Green
Bay and Richmond for these two nights.  This is
why it is important to book at the HOST hotel
early.  Other hotels are available in the area
but not in the immediate proximity and the temps
will be hot enough you won't want to walk to the
meetings, etc.
