I have messages in there since 1995.  Whether I add a signature or not
now will have no effect on what's already in the archive.

Because of the problems of spamming, I don't think the archives should
be made available with email addresses.  But a version should be kept
with email addresses - probably the password protected version on
Bob Weir's server.  (now was that ie or ei?) ;-)

That said, I haven't received an increase in junk mail of late - certainly
not of the levels Dan mentioned.  I have a relatively high post count
but certainly not as high as Dan...
