P3D Elmer's glue and Spicer mounts

Ken Luker's tips on using Elmer's glue
are great and very through. I've been gluing
my Spicers for a few years and I like it, they
are very solid.

The one addition I can make to Ken's tips are
to use Elmer's "School Gel". This is a clear blue
colored variety of Elmer's that is thicker and less
runny. It also has a flat broad tip that you
can use to evenly spread the glue.

Another variation is to use just a touch of
glue stick to hold the film chip in place
of tape. I like to put the slides between the
pages of a large old book to keep them flat
until the glue has set.

I've been doing this for a few years and the
mounts and images look great.
