George says I missed the nitty gritty and didn't answer the 
question..is electric release less camera movement than 
mechanical shutter?
 I don't think the shutter makes any difference..i.e. other factors 
more important: mirror slap in SLR, position and holding of camera, 
punching button instead of gentle squeeze (the rifle trigger analogy).
Some cameras like most 110s were flat with button at one end and 
most didn't sqeeze between thumb and finger, so got movement.
I still think Realist is superior camera for steadiness with the 
forehead rest. The Stereo Vivid has button on front that is easy to 
squeeze against thumb on back.
The old folders where you had to reach up front to the Compur 
shutter to trip a lever were unsteady before linkage to a button 
became the norm.  BobH
