P3D First Report on HP S20 Scanner

I recently bought a HP S20 slide scanner for scanning stereo and
panoramic slides. Although it scans panoramic strips and 35mm slides OK
I was disappointed in using it for stereo slides for a couple reasons.
The first is that it does not take any mount thicker than a cardboard
mount. RBTs and EMDEs are way too thick. Also when a stereo slide was
inserted significant rotational error was introduced. It was pretty
easy to take care of it with the supplied software but it was
unpredictable and more irritatingly differed from the preview mode.
Perhaps someone has found a way to get around this?

Does anyone know of a scanner that will work with glass mounted slides,
also do panoramic, and have Digital ICE (dust removal subroutine)? That
is my wish list :-)
