Try tapping the front of your computer monitor's picture tube with a 2
pound hammer. If you want to keep down the cost, do it to a light bulb
instead. The resulting effect pretty well defines implosion, as the air
rushes IN to fill the vacuum carrying all the fragments with it. The
effect is more spectacular when done in 3D to a large building.
