According to the S1 manual, it can handle temperatures as low as  and I'll be
climbing it in June.  I did climb it several years ago, and it was above 10 degrees
F at the summit.  One attempt that I made, (but didn't make to the summit it was
reported to be right at freezing at the summit.  I am sure the S1 will be OK.  Oh,
the S1 came with a lithium battery, so that should be fine, and it doesn't have a
multiple exposure capability.

On your climbs, did you have to adjust the exposure so the snow came out white and
not %18 gray?
