Thanks for your replies to my earlier question about hand-
tinting. I still don't understand how could this be done manually
at a reasonable cost.
I have now found another pair of identical views, one of which
is tinted while the other is B&W. You can view them here:

This is a place in Wales called "Bettws-y-Coed". Strange name!
It seems that the first word is missing a few vowels but I can assure
you I copied it correctly! I have no idea how it sounds!
Not all hand-tinted views are done well. As a matter of fact, I have
found a stereo view that qualifies for the ugliest paint job ever
applied to a stereo view. Here it is:

I appropriately titled this "Gosh, this is awful!" I hope someone
will buy it for $1 just to show to his/her friends how a bad view
looks like!
