See, these two examples indicates to me that you need to find a
developer who will LISTEN to your requests. When I ran a test roll of
prints through my Kodak stereo, I took it to my local Walmart photo lab
and asked if they could do half-frame prints. The manager there told me
to write half frame AND put her name on it and she would give it
personal attention.
Of course she said it might take a little more than an hour, however I
was more than willing to wait as I had to get back to work anyway.
There have also been great suggestions on the list in asking what to
do. For example, someone said to have them print using the 3x5 mask on
4x6 paper.
In all, it's best to smile and ask questions. If you get blank stares
and "huh???" answers, move on.
