Nikon is about to release the N80 SLR (expected in stores in May).
Preproduction reviews (eg Popular Photography May 2000) describe an easy to
use, very capable advanced-amateur level camera.
Good thing for twinners: it works with a screw in cable release.
Expected to be priced like the N70, around $400, body only. Nikon AF 50 mm,
f2.8 lenses go for about $100. The N80 should make a wonderful 2D camera,
with the marginal cost for 3D (2d body and two basic lenses) of maybe $500 -
$600.
Cheers,
Greg
