You made some very good points in response to my semi-tongue-in-cheek
perverse-logic posting.
To be more perverse, I didn't think of your point myself because I don't
take the photo-3d polls too seriously.
I'd suggest that Bob simply state a policy that for any poll to actually influence
list policy, it has to be a subject he's willing to bend on, one that has been
discussed before the poll, and a poll that he originates. In other words, a
hybrid polling policy. Anybody can generate polls, but the only ones that
influence the dictator are the ones the dictators words and initiates.
Sound reasonable?

P.S. - I also think the adlib policy polls will subside when it's found that
they don't have the effect possibly intended. Think it's the new-toy
effect in action. :-)
