Sure, we ophthalmologists use these and other sorts of fundus cameras
all the time. It takes stereo shots of the inside of the eyes. The
only thing a fundus camera is designed to image is the inside of the
eye, which makes some real nice stereo pairs. Unfortunately, you can't
use it for much else.
The other problem you'll find with these units is that they cost in
the range of $20,000 to $30,000.
