I use Canon Rebel X cameras. I fire them simulaneously with a pair of Canon
remote shutter release cables spliced together into a single button from one
the the cables. This is a three-position button: off, activate auto
functions, and fire. I'm not a technical person, but this was an easy
splice. Synch is nearly perfect, by which I mean it is absolutely perfect
85-90 percent of the time with flash connected to the hot shoe of either
camera. I have no idea why it isn't perfect the rest of the time, but it's
good enough for me. I have had no synch problems at all when shooting
without flash, regardless of how fast the dog's tail is wagging. I had some
initial problems with one of the cameras, but a trip to the authorized Canon
service center seems to have solved them. Since then, it's been smooth
sailing.
