This is the twin rig setup I use. I have two of these on a bar with a
twin cable to fire the shutters. I have not had much of a problem with
the synch being off. Works great for my purposes albeit I recently got
some 50's cameras to play with as I prefer closer lens spacing than I
can get with my twin Ricohs (my closeups have too much depth with the
twin rig). Some example shots with this camera are in my various
galleries at http://phillips.personal.nccu.edu.tw/3d/index.html
http://phillips.personal.nccu.edu.tw/tits/index.html and

I was searching for info on these cameras for stereo and came across
this web page which folks might find useful.
http://www.generation.net/~jacob/35r/35R_mods_for_3D.htm My twin rig
just uses a dual electronic cable and isn't quite so complicated . . . I
wish someone would post instructions for hacking these things to bits
and combining the bodies in much the way the SSA newsletter has a series
on the XA. :-)
