I think there was some sort of mis-communication about that. I as one of the 
volunteers, and I believe that the powers that be thought the volunteers 
were expecting their own advertising in place of the onelist/egroups/ 
advertising.

In fact, _I_ was offering to eliminate it and replace it with nothing 
else... Not because it bothers me, but because ALL THE NOTES AND POLLS TO 
THE LIST ABOUT IT/THEM have caused me to delete far more junk mail than 
ususal from this list. The extra complaining has been the irritant for me..
