[photo-3d] Twin-synching/Timing etc.

In response to Alan, Brian and others of you dreaming up all those
swell timing and synching circuits. Please consider the merits of the
lowly 1725 RPM "washing machine" motor. Readily available in the
dumpsters of most major cities. If you have this turning a black
stick
against a white background ,and point the loaded camera(s) at it,
when you shoot at 1/125 sec you should see .23 of a revolution as a
gray "wedge" on the photo, at 1/500 , you should see .115 of a
revolution etc. Obviously, you can compare the images from the two
cameras to see which does what. As is often said in this list,"film
is cheap" Maybe cheaper than some transistors and an oscilliscope.
This gag is from the old days of camera repair, neccessitated one day
when a dinosaur stepped on the electronic timer. I hope it is
amusing. Regards, John Billingham (aka the second cheapest person in
NYC)
