[photo-3d] Andrew S. Iddings?

I was looking at a Web site called www.findagrave.com to see if there 
was anything interesting in our local cemetery, when I found the 
following entry:

    Andrew S. Iddings
    b. 1881. d. 1974.
    Famous explorer and photographer of foreign
    lands. he invented the stereoptic (3-D) camera.
    Woodland Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio, USA

Anyone know anything about this guy?  Unless the date of birth is 
wrong, he couldn't have invented the stereo camera.

I couldn't find any mention of him in the mailing list archives, 
either.
