Is it the attention of a twin rig? The dollars saved? The challenge of
syncing? You guys that twin SLR's are amazing! Why you wrestle with such
equipment is certainly admirable......but I gotta tell you, I'm
scratching my head wondering how you folks can stay enthusiastic,
creative, and sane! :-)
Thanks Dr. T for the kind announcement that I had won 1st place in the
OSPS competitions this year. My slides were of a variety of subjects
shot with a Realist, my X4, and slidebar SLR.
The closest thing I've used to a twin SLR is a pair of P&S Xa2's (
Olympus ) and the results are pretty good......but not good enough. IMO,
there are too many missed opportunities by not using stereo cameras. The
Realist, and X4 share equal time, and I couldn't be happier with the
results. I've learned my equipment well enough to spend my time
concentrating on the image, not the camera settings. This is only my
opinion, not a criticizm, but simply an observation of wonderment why "
twinners" do what they do! :-) Mark Dottle
