Hi,

as far as I understood the circuitry of the lightmeter is always powered
even if you switch to non-A. The only thing that will help is to keep the
camera in the dark if not using it. I put it in a caselogic camera bag, take

more than 50 films a year and the battery will be fine for more than a year.
