[photo-3d] Re: Velvia and Viewing Methods

Would it make sense at this time to consider future computer viewing methods,
and digital post-processing? If so, maximum transfer of information during
scanning might be the appropriate criterion for setting exposure. Would a slide
verging on being washed out be a good candidate for scanning? Furthermore,
would Velvia be good film for this purpose, considering colors could be juiced
up as desired by manipulating a digital file? All this might be so far in the
future that it is not worth considering. I sure have not seen any computer
viewing methods that come close to the experience of looking at slides, either
by viewer or by projection. On the other hand, I've seen enough fine digitally
produced prints to think twice about dismissing the possibility of computer
viewing altogether.
