[photo-3d] What about newsgroups?

One of my italian list-mates rose the idea of a newsgroup.
Indeed I believe Usenet NGs can be valuable tools to get visibility and  to
capture other photographers' (or simple netsurfers') curiousity; nevrtheless
I tried surfing the Usenet NGs (there are at least 80,000 NGs out there!)
but I could find nothing about stereoscopy! (just one on SIRDS).
I also often meet in photographic NGs people asking questions about
stereoscopy. I always try to re-direct them to this mailing list  (or to 3d
lists in their languages) but I seldom meet them again.  Thus I should argue
many people are still scared by mailng lists.
A stereo-photography Usenet group could be also a good place for
not-english-speaking stereo photographers to meet each others and to start
national 3d groups.
Sorryly, none of us from holostereoitalia seems tom be able to start such an
international NG...
What about you folks?
