I use the same mirrors from the same company for my large format mirrored
viewers, and I clean them pretty easily with a soft cotton cloth (one of the
new lens cleaning materials would work fine, too) and a little lens cleaner.
I had tried other solutions on them, but everything I tried left a residue
except lens cleaner. After you wipe the lens cleaner on, wait a few seconds
until it totally dries and then buff it until all traces are gone. The
reason these mirrors can be cleaned is that they have a protective coating.
Many front surface mirrors do not have a coating and any attempt to clean
them will result in damaging the mirror. If you do end up with a damaged
mirror I will be happy to send a replacement piece to anyone who needs it
(for a nominal fee).
