Um, what color is the sky on your planet?
VR gear first made popular culture circa 1990.
Virtual Boy comes out, flops. 1993.
Sega did a sequential-field thingy with the Sega Master System [pre-Genesis,
pre '90] and we know where that didn't go. [no follow-ons]
Face it, 3d is for "weirdie beardies".
There will come a day that you won't be able to say "3D, you know, like a
ViewMaster." to someone and have them remember looking at stereos as a child.
Besides, who's going to bother looking at stereos after they've all gotten
lasik? "Hey, I've still got one good eye...."
The only saviour will come through the usual technological push: porno.
We have porno to thank for:
VCRs in every home
Fast modems
High-speed internet backbones
High-speed home internet access
So, I'm envisioning sequential-field DVDs with LCS glasses, possibly with
multiple angles. Hm. Could be interesting. Now, would the "money shot"
break the stereo window? (-:
