Depends who you ask... I prefer the red button viewer myself but I
know that the Kodaslide II viewer have many devoted followers.
(Do not confuse with Kodaslide I which has single element plastic
lenses).

The Lifelike has cheap plastic lenses loaded with aberrations, and
the electrical system, which some people find clever (I don't)
needs more maintenance than other viewers. The good news is that
the lenses can be replaced with Wollensak achromats.

The Realist red button viewer is, IMO, the best stereo viewer
to convert for 8p viewing. See:

For those who are coming to Mesa, I will conduct a stereo
slide viewer workshop. You will have the opportunity to
examine various viewers from the 50s, as well as some
modern viewers (deWijs, Ekeren, MF viewers, etc.) I think
it will be quite interesting.
