[photo-3d] Medium Format and DrT

I now have 4 stereo cameras. 2 Realists, one Sputnik and a Kalimar I
didn't want that was given to me. (Yuck)
After some comparisons from 5p Realist format to full-frame 35mm
stereo, I could see a real improvement in the larger frame size vs the
Realist. But I could also see where the Realist is much handier for
some situations as well.
So the next step was a larger film format. 120 size and a Sputnik. Its
a terrible camera to use. Very clunky and crude. But if handled right, the
results put 35mm stereo to shame. MUCH BETTER!! I used E100S for the test
of the Sputnik only because its what I had handy. I can say that E100S in
the Sputnik is far superior to E100S in the Realist. Much finer apparent
grain and greater tonality. Just so much better period.
Yeah you can't use a Sputnik everywhere that a Realist can go because
the old Realist is so much more advanced than a Spud. (Thats how crude
the Spud is!) But given the right situations if you want that BIG stereo
shot, use the bigger film format.(George)
Besides, its soo much fun playing with this stuff!
