[photo-3d] copyright or wrong

I can't believe this onslaught against Dr T for showing other people's
stereo images. Are you guys for REAL?
Copyright laws are designed to protect the creators of whatever... what Dr T
does in NO WAY harms those creators, and- as he says- serves to HELP them.
The intent of law is more important than the letter of the law.

Several years ago I produced an hour-long (35mm- barely a tear in the
audience) stereo slide show on the history of stereoscopic imaging which
included TONS of other people's stuff, including ViewMaster (Batman, film
and TV images, all the coolest stuff!). I got permission from modern stereo
photographers, but there was NO WAY I was gonna get permission for the
ViewMaster (and related stuff).

The show "The Third Dimension" (aka SPACESHOTS) has been seen at several NSA
conventions (as well as many college campuses) including Richmond, VA- where
several ViewMaster representatives told me how much they enjoyed the
presentation... I was even invited to show it for the company.

So sue me.
