I can appreciate that Tom Dory and others have responsibilities, and
I know they have worked long and hard on the convention already. My
remarks are not meant to take anything away from their devotion and
contribution.

But with only two weeks left, at least a provisional schedule ought
to be posted. If some things change, that's fine, but people need to
make plans.

For example: I discovered someone this weekend who wants to be
present for our tribute to John Baird. This person will have to make
his plans blind, since there is utterly nothing available to give him.

For example: several of the software companies I work with are within
travelling distance of Mesa. Since we are working together on new
stereoscopic ventures, it would have been nice to invite them to
attend. There is nothing to show them, no idea which days they
should set aside.

To be sure, most of the attendees know what to expect, so this is not
a major issue. And frankly, it's too late for Mesa anyway. But for
the benefit of newcomers and outsiders in the future, a tentative
schedule should be posted several months in advance.

Respectfully,

Tom
