background music at NSA conventions ("public presentations"
which probably includes club-meetings as well because at least with
ours, anybody walking off the street is welcome to attend,

P.S. - "Buyout" music is one of the buzz words for the music
       to use.  There's another older term for the same thing
       which still doesn't come to mind.
