INALE (I'm not a lwyer, either)  but, as I understand the law,  a copyright
holder can lose the copyright if they don't make an attempt to protect it.
Boris may not fear your use of the images, but allowing it to be copied may
now put him at risk... and then others might start copying it for profit.
Atsome point, he might have to make an example of someone.  That's how some
fan web sites got shut down when using pictures from popular tv shows.  If
the producers didn't fight them, they could have lost the rights.
  Am I wrong?
