Gabriel, and all,

No XA twin rig yet!  :-)  I'm aware of the Watters book and
almost ordered it at one point. I was shooting flat pictures
with an XA2 for a couple of years before I go into stereo.
Recently I got an XA, feeling frustrated with the lack of
a rangefinder and lack of exposure control in the XA2
(the XA, of course, has aperture priority auto). I've done
some cha-cha scenic shots with the XA. Thinking about
getting another for twinning....

As for the FED, its main purpose was for stereo prints for
the yearbook. It did fine there, but budgetary problems
ruled out stereo for this year, so half of each pair went
in as flat pictures.  :-(

With the extreme time crunch now that I've become principal,
I'm pretty much down to just using the beamsplitter for
personal slides. I miss the handiness of the Nimslo, but
I'm leaving it at home because it is so much faster and
easier to mount the beamsplitter pairs, being they are on
one film chip; besides which bracketing is kind of tedious
and definitely expensive with the Nimslo. My life has changed,
but I'll still keep shooting... stereo Kodachrome forever!
