[photo-3d] film for slide dupes

"Does anyone have a recommendation for the best film for slide duping?"
Like many other 3D topics, this thread could go on forever. It's like
shooting film. Everyone has their preferences. I shoot Kodachrome 95%
of the time, but dupe with Fuji CDU II. I don't use a strobe, however.
I shoot with a bellows over a light box. Other P-3D'ers who use a
strobe might recommend a couple of the Kodak dupe films, which are known
to work better with a flash.
It's a bit trying at first, but you'll have to experiment with color
correction. I learned this from a visit to a professional slide copier
who does thousands of dupes a week. Don't blindly rely on the filter
numbers on the film box. You'll have to run a test each time you buy a
new batch of film.
Good luck, Jim! Copying slides is lots of fun once you get the hang of
it. I even do it with shots from my View-Master personal. I know Dr. T
says, "Geez, shoot some more!" when you get 69 pairs to a roll of film.
But sometimes you get that really great shot and want to share it.
Isn't that what photography's all about?
Best regards,
Mike Sanders
