[photo-3d] Uncut Stereo Film Viewers

Two years ago I took some transposing viewers to NSA. These had two prisms
to individually reverse the views, and lenses to magnify them, so that the
uncut stereo film (35mm) looked pretty darn good! (Years after I made my
first prototype I found out that Veriscope transposing viewer was based on
nearly identical optics.)

Unlike the Veriscope and some mirror design transposing viewers, the film
transport in my viewer lets the film slip through without sprockets or
scraping contact with the emulsion. In addition the film transport
(removable) fits in many stereo projectors, so that the uncut film can be
projected. (The viewer has to turn his stereo glasses upside down to see
correct stereo for projection.)

I sold out, and for two years was too busy with other matters to make more
of them or even think about them.

Why mention all of this now? It's just that the subject keeps coming up in
this list, and it came up again on MY list. So I touched up the design a
bit, designed a bright light source, and made a few.

And I'll be taking them again to NSA.

To avoid conflict-of-list I won't give sales details here, but I did want
to mention that one indeed CAN look at uncut stereo film in correct stereo
with available viewers. (OK, perhaps not WIDELY available!)

I'll try to get some details on the sell list but I'm running ragged just
finishing up the light sources. See you in Mesa!
