Abram, thanks so much for this information. I've experimented with
lenticular images and really appreciate seeing analytical posts.
Unfortunately the Okoshi book is out of print, but I should be able to
interlibrary loan a copy. My experiments using an Imagetech ImageTrack
lenticular rail tend to confirm the information about the number of
lenticular depth steps. I stuck with 3 image lenticulars, but played with
divergence from the optimum recommended camera shifts. (The 3 image limit
was economic in nature for me-- going beyond 3 image lenticulars put one
in the commercial rate structure-- about $80 per 8x10 print, while
vertical half frame lenticulars shot with a Pen FT could be processed at
the consumer rate of about $10 for an 8x10, because it matched the setup
for the consumer Imagetech cameras).
